Each GTA game in the The Definitive Edition will emulate GTA 5 in its controls, which will hopefully be a universal improvement to the gameplay. The trilogy's control scheme was exceptionally dated, and made it difficult for some to go back and experience the classic GTA titles. Perhaps the most important change across the board is the reworked controls. However, the games still use a version of the old graphics, attempting to achieve higher visual fidelity without compromising the art style of the originals. Character models have been remastered, weather effects are more impressive, lighting is more robust, and scenery has been given a facelift.
